OOTD | Faux Leather Trousers

Jumper - Primark | Trousers - Primark | Boots (similar) - New Look

I've been lusting over leather trousers for a while now, but I never really knew if they would suit me or not - well, I still don't really know now! I tried a pair on in Topshop a few months ago and they just looked absolutely vile on me but I'm actually kind of into these Primark. They're faux of course but although they look like leather, the material is actually more like denim.

I love high-neck jumpers, as you can see from the roll-neck in my last OOTD, but I like this burgundy one even more as the neckline is almost halfway between a crew neck and a polo neck. They always give me model-off-duty vibes! A girl can dream... As for shoes, I've paired them with my fave New Look boots.

What do you think of my outfit? Would you work leather trousers?

OOTD | Camel Roll Neck

It's been a while since I've posted an OOTD but I swear it seems like every time I plan to shoot it suddenly pours with rain the entire day. This week I decided I would get out there, regardless of the weather, to photograph my first outfit of 2016 and basically ended up freezing my ass off in the process. Oh, the stuff I do for the sake of art...

I'm not usually a fan of roll neck tops but it seems to be a huge trend right now so I thought I'd give it a go. I think I'm definitely more of a fan of loose clothing but I'm still undecided on whether I can pull it off or not. I will say that I love the neutral colour palette with the gorgeous camel shade complementing my amaziiiiinngg new boots. You know when you love a pair of shoes so much that you don't want to wear them out? My life right now.

PS. Can I just say I'm really loving this 'Plum Sensation' lip colour right now by Collection... I applied it in the afternoon and it was still perfect by the time I went to bed at around midnight. *mini fist pump*

OOTD | Motel Cut Out Jumpsuit

Happy Sunday and happy 13th! While we're at it we might as well also say happy birthday to the queen (AKA Taylor Swift) who I'm sure will definitely approve of my red lip look in today's outfit. I hope everyone's had a lovely week. A few weeks ago Motel were running a competition to create your own Christmas wishlist using their clothing items and one person will win EVERYTHING they've picked - yes, as you can guess, that lucky winner was me!

Motel Jumpsuit | Primark Heels
This jumpsuit is probably my favourite of what I received as they are such a lifesaver for lazy people like me who don't want to take the effort of styling separate pieces together. I love the simplicity of this one and although it's comfy for casual wear it can also easily be dressed up, with the cold-shoulder and cut-out features adding that classy edge. I paired it with black heels (because I'm boring) but I think it would look great too if you opted to add a pop of colour using bright shoes instead of red lipstick like me.

If any of you are curious as to what other items I picked, I chose this Camel Roll Neck Top, Black Lace Up Leotard, Moss Green Cropped Blouse, and a pair of jeans which unfortunately didn't fit. *sad face*

Thank you again, Motel! What do you think of my outfit?

OOTD | Mixing Prints with Minus Ten

lunar look autumn outfit fashion
lunar look minus ten clothing ootd
Top - Minus Ten* | Scarf - New Look | Leggings - Primark | Boots - River Island

Usually I would never think to wear a striped top with a tartan scarf but it just didn't seem so atrocious when I was contemplating what to wear the shirt with today. Although that's mainly because it's getting cold and I just love cosy scarves! I feel like I'm channelling my inner emo in this outfit - which definitely was not intentional - but it's Halloween in just under a week so I guess it's allowed, right?

The nautical style top I'm wearing is courtesy of Minus Ten and, despite my risky mixing of prints, I really do love the concept of their clothing store. As a brand which caters for sizes 4-10, it's great to see a brand which is finally targeting a market of women which has been ignored for so long. There's been a huge rise in plus-size brands in recent years but there are still very few shops which stock a substantial amount below size 8. I got this top in a size 8 but I could have probably done with getting a 6 instead as it's supposed to be body-hugging but it's a bit baggy around my waist. It's great knowing that there's a shop out there which will cater for those with slimmer frames as in the majority of high-street chains you would have no other option than to leave or stick with the large size. I'm not the smallest of people but it is definitely a struggle when you either can't get jeans over your hips or are left with a huge gap around your waist!

What do you think of mixing bold prints? Yay or nay?

OOTD | The Check Cardigan

Lipstick - Collection | Top - H&M | Cardigan - Primark | Trousers - George | Heels - New Look (similar)

It feels like ages since I've published an outfit post but since today is the official start of autumn - my favourite season both in general and for fashion - I thought I'd style some of my most recent purchases into an outfit.

This knitted cardigan is from Primark and is surprisingly soooo warm! Perhaps even a little too snug for this early September weather but I can tell it'll be a lifesaver for the cold winter days approaching. It's like wrapping yourself with some huge cosy blanket, I swear. I'm not really sure whether it's a tartan or check print but I absolutely adore the navy-burgundy colour palette. I love it with a touch of my fave plum lipstick.

Everyone keeps confusing the trousers I'm wearing with leggings but they're actually a much thicker material and are a comfy alternative to trousers and jeans. Usually I go for both chunky boots and chunky jewellery but decided to keep it simple with a three-spike necklace... I think wearing glasses now means I have to stay more minimalistic with my accessories, otherwise it can end up looking a bit OTT.

What do you think of my outfit? Let me know your thoughts!

OOTD | Laid-back Luxe

Select Cami Top | Select Soft Trousers | Primark Heels

Today's outfit is effortlessly simple yet still feels a lot more luxurious than my usual style. I'm actually pleasantly surprised with how those side-trim soft trousers turned out on camera as I think they look way too casual in person - the elasticated ankle doesn't help as it often bunches up and makes it seem like you're wearing joggers! However they are super comfortable and I love how they can be dressed both up or down for all occasions. The floral print is bold enough as it is so I've opted for a simple heel, no accessories and a classic red lip for that little pop of colour.

Would you wear this monochrome look?

H&M Sunglasses | New Look Top | Celeb Look Jeans | Everything5pounds Sandals | Vintage Ring

Okay - I am sooo ready for autumn fashion! I feel like I'm already dressing for it with the style of this outfit. I can't wait to wear earthy tones and not be sweating to death in black skinnies (I refuse to give them up even if it is 20 degrees out.) Did I mention that I REALLY love the shade of this top? I've rambled on about my love for the colour green before, but just in case anybody forgot - I'm kinda obsessed.

I was lucky enough to win (yet another) competition so these shoes are courtesy of Everything5pounds! I've been wearing sandals all year round; consequently mine are just a tiny bit worn out, so it was nice to spontaneously receive some shiny new ones. They aren't the comfiest to wear for long periods of time as the metal digs into your skin a little, but for £5 who can really complain? It's not like anybody picks sandals as their choice of footwear when running a marathon or anything.

Anyone who knows me personally will be aware that I absolutely love stereotypically 'ugly' things that everyone else hates and finds weird. Hence I simply could not leave that cute spider ring just sitting there all lonely on the table when I recently visited Lou Lou's Vintage Fair. I can't remember the exact stall it was from though - obvs was too excited about it to notice!

Would you wear this outfit? Let me know what you think!

OOTD | Ashanti Brazil Floral Playsuit

As our lovely British weather has decided to be the epitome of misery, today's outfit posts had to be taken indoors which I'm aware is a bit of a let-down compared to OOTDs shot outside on the street considering the bad lighting etcetera  - but at least it's a bit different than usual, right?lunar look ashanti brazil navy floral playsuit
Playsuit - Ashanti Brazil* | Shoes - Steve Madden | Lipstick - Collection (Shade: Sweet Tart)

This navy floral playsuit is courtesy of Ashanti Brazil as I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the winners in their fashion blogger competition last week! I also happened to win, I think, 3 other giveaways on the same day which was super exciting! I am a prolific winner, I must admit, but I've never been on a roll quite like that before.

I didn't realise quite how low the slit was (or rather how flat as a pancake I am) until I tried the playsuit on and found out you probably need a Kim K sized cleavage to give the outfit the justice it truly deserves. And frankly, I just don't think I cut it. It's a gorgeous playsuit, don't get me wrong - I just don't think I have the best body suited for it.

However, I do absolutely adore the lace trim around the shorts and definitely think it would be perfect to take on a tropical getaway to some paradisical island. It's nice to see summery clothes that aren't in the typical orange/pink/yellow hues.

Here's to hoping this isn't the end of our summer heat....!

Would you wear a playsuit like mine?

Note to self: don't shoot outfits immediately after getting them out of the packaging because you will find yourself in a serious situation of crease marks galore.

Despite this, I feel like I'm channelling my inner Taylor Swift (AKA goddess) today and if I wasn't fully aware of my English surroundings, I could definitely envision myself strutting down the streets of New York with a cat in tow and paparazzi trailing behind. I've spoken about my love of co-ordinates before but I think the cause of my deep admiration lies heavily in the fact that you don't have to bother with the fuss of styling top and bottom pieces together, making them top on my list of summer fashion essentials and a perfect choice for this week's heat wave.

OOTD | Sass Master Jacket

lunar look sass master faux fur jacket
Faux Fur Jacket - MeeMee | Jeans - Celeb Look* | Knee High Boots - Clarks

I guess I'm trying to subconsciously 'up' my sassitude game because I just can't seem to get enough of it lately!
Last week was all about this sassy hairstyle, this week it's all about this fierce fur number which is the ultimate staple in my winter wardrobe - super cosy, warm and not to mention stylish - who could really complain?

I've opted for everyone's favourite monochromatic vibes and have paired the jacket with my new leather over-the-knee boots that I'm actually pleasantly surprised with! (Who knew Clarks had such practical AND fashionable footwear?) The only thing I feel would top this outfit off would be a lovely white wonderland sitting in the background; if only I'd shot these photos a few days later...
