It’s easy to get stressed in life when work and personal life gets on top of us. It can mean our beauty can suffer as we are more prone to get breakouts, rashes, grey hairs, and eye bags. When you are feeling stressed, it’s a good idea to spend time with your girls. You should arrange to go on a spa break with your friends so it gives you time to chill and help restore your looks. Here are some of the best places to visit for a spa break with the girls.

Having That Touch Of Class: What Makes An Event Live In The Memory
A touch of class is something that means different things to different people. The impression that it brings up in most minds is probably the idea that a lot of money has been spent. Expensive champagne. A top-of-the-line car. A dress that looks like it was made bespoke by a name designer. All of these are things that people associate with class. For better or worse, the word class has come to be synonymous with price.
Let's be honest about this, there is good reason that this has come to pass. Class has come to be associated with cost, because the theory goes that anyone can spend a little money, but only the few can spend a lot. But there is a flip side to this. We've all seen extremely rich people who spend a lot of money on something just because it cost a lot. How many of us think that, for example, a gold-painted Rolls Royce oozes class?
When planning an event, this is something that needs to be borne in mind as well. If you have an unlimited budget, it should be easy to plan the perfect event. But there are some events that cost a lot of money to put on and give of all the understated glamor of someone setting fire to a large pile of cash. A lot of money and glitz does not immediately denote class. Maybe some people think the Trump Tower is a wonder of architecture, but a lot more do not.

Word of the Week | SYNESTHESIA
Welcome back to Word of the Week! I hope everyone had a good weekend and is having an even better Monday.
SYNESTHESIA
Definition: the production of a sense impression relating to one sense or part of the body by stimulation of another sense or part of the body.
That sounds a bit complicated but the most common form of synesthesia is when someone sees a certain colour in response to a certain letter of the alphabet or number, such as seeing the number 5 as being green. I didn't know there was a word for this until a couple years ago but I have always associated certain colours with each day of the week. Tuesday is red, Saturday is green, Sunday is yellow... I don't know why but they just are and I can't see them any other way!
Have you experienced colour synesthesia before? Let me know in a comment and remember to check back here next Monday for a new word!

ELLE Style Awards 2016 | Best Dressed List
Models, designers and style icons alike came together to celebrate fashion at last night's 2016 ELLE Style Awards and I loved getting to see what the celebs wore to the event. After all, what better way to flaunt your style than at a style-focused awards show?
Karlie Kloss
Karlie Kloss is just one big ray of sunshine - I absolutely love everything about her. I'm so happy she took home the award for Inspiring Woman of the Year because she definitely deserves it with all her coding work! She also looks gorg in this gown paired with a classic red lip.
Bella Hadid in Julien Macdonald
I'm obsessed with Bella Hadid's signature sports luxe vibe but I'm also loving how she worked this fringed outfit! Her slicked back hair really adds that bit of edge to the look.
Jourdan Dunn in Emilio De La Morena
Only Jourdan Dunn could pull off a look like this! Purple looks so gorgeous on her and the asymmetric design paired with the thigh high split is basically turning me into the heart eyes emoji.
Lottie Moss
I'm definitely getting Miley Cyrus vibes from this outfit! It looks just like the outfit she wore to the 2015 MTV VMAs. Some may think this look is too much but I love how bold it is. What else would you expect from Kate Moss' little sis?
I've put together a little quiz on Maximum Pop so get voting for your best dressed female!

He Named Me Malala Review
Eleven weeks ago I read a story that resonated somewhere deep within me. This story was one of a girl. A girl named Malala. You have probably heard of her, as I thought I did, but, as I came to realise, I only began to understand her truly when I read her book; received her message; connected with her words, thoughts and ideas.
I started and finished 'I Am Malala' in one day. This quote was one of the many which I connected to so deeply.
I am in absolute awe at Malala's spirit, wisdom and unwavering faith in the universe As I often find myself saying, and know to be true on all levels, it does not matter whether you are living in a country where there are frequent terrorist attacks. It is only the feeling of vulnerability that ever puts you into a vibrational harmony with that which you fear. I know Malala understood this concept deeply and applied it to her own life. That is why she was never afraid - and so when death and her seemed to come close, death did not want her. God is kind. All is well. We are one. Let the powerful force of something bigger and stronger than us dwell inside you.
The above review-of-sorts probably won't make much sense if you aren't familiar with Malala's story, but I am happy to announce that it has been turned into a film and 'He Named Me Malala' will be broadcast globally on Monday 29th February at 8pm EST / 7pm CST!
Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth, Waiting for Superman) shows us how Malala, her father Zia and her family are committed to fighting for education for all girls worldwide. The film gives us an inside glimpse into this extraordinary young girl’s life – from her close relationship with her father who inspired her love for education, to her impassioned speeches at the UN, to her everyday life with her parents and brothers.
I absolutely loved the book and am super excited for the film's broadcast on television to spread Malala's message even further across the globe! Don't forget to like He Named Me Malala's page to keep up with the latest news.
Will you be watching Malala's new film?
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Review Wire Media for 20th Century Fox. I received information to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Word of the Week | SYZYGY
Welcome back to Word of the Week! My favourite thing about Mondays where I get to share and rave about some pretty cool words with you all.
SYZYGY
Definition: an alignment of three celestial objects, as the sun, the earth and the moon
Bet you didn't know there was a word for that, did you? It looks like a tricky one but it's actually quite easy to pronounce - siz-i-jee. Fun fact: Syzygy is the only word in the English language which has three Ys in it.
Check back next Monday for a brand new word!

Topshop Unique AW16 | LFW
My favourite show of London Fashion Week was today and I had so much fun watching the live-stream! (I would've had even more fun if I was there - hint hint) The frow was full of the usual famous faces including one of my absolute faves - Karlie Kloss. The Topshop Unique show is always great in my opinion and the collection is ready-to-wear whilst also encompassing elements of couture and high fashion. The vibes I got from their AW16 collection? Houndstooth, sequins, fur coats, metallic disco boots and oversized flared everythingggg.
HOUNDSTOOTH
I haven't seen this print in a long time but it looks like Topshop are bringing it back this AW16. Monochromatic looks are always a staple of winter fashion so it's no surprise really!
FUR
There's something so lush about Topshop's fur that makes it seem so different to other high street brands. Does anyone else think this? The look on the left was definitely one of my favourites; I love everything about it and would wear it myself 100%.
GOTHIC
A lot of designers jumped on the gothic bandwagon this LFW season but Topshop still managed to make it look unique. The combination of sheer chiffon with velvet is gorgeous and gives of luxe vibes.
DISCO BOOTS
As I spoke about in a recent blog post, I love Topshop shoes. And I have a special place in my heart for metallic platform boots. So gorg and definitely throwing us back to the '70s.

OOTD | Faux Leather Trousers
Jumper - Primark | Trousers - Primark | Boots (similar) - New Look
I've been lusting over leather trousers for a while now, but I never really knew if they would suit me or not - well, I still don't really know now! I tried a pair on in Topshop a few months ago and they just looked absolutely vile on me but I'm actually kind of into these Primark. They're faux of course but although they look like leather, the material is actually more like denim.
I love high-neck jumpers, as you can see from the roll-neck in my last OOTD, but I like this burgundy one even more as the neckline is almost halfway between a crew neck and a polo neck. They always give me model-off-duty vibes! A girl can dream... As for shoes, I've paired them with my fave New Look boots.

Grammys 2016 Red Carpet | HOT or NOT?
The biggest night in music happened last night and I was so excited I watched E!'s live coverage of the red carpet arrivals until 1am. I saw the good, the bad and the downright ugly... but these were the looks which stood out to me the most. PS. you can watch the Grammys in the UK tonight at 8pm on 4 Music!
Selena Gomez in Calvin Klein
Selena said she opted for a 'simple' look - err, if this is simple I'd love to see her idea of going all out! Despite that, I think she looks gorgeous in this glittery midnight blue gown. Verdict: HOT.
Taylor Swift in Versace
I love you, Taylor. But no. Just no. I don't mind the colour blocking trend that much but there just isn't anything I particularly like about this look. Anyone else think it looks like she's cosplaying a wilder version of Anna Wintour? Verdict: NOT.
Ellie Goulding in Stella McCartney
Ellie Goulding seemed to be the only celeb who worked a pastel coloured dress and I think it really works for her. Light blush pink really suits her blonde hair and has an air of elegance. Verdict: HOT.
Lady Gaga in custom Marc Jacobs
Lady Gaga, please stop trying so hard. Everyone's so desperate for attention that I feel like the way to get noticed now is by adopting the motto of less is more. Verdict: NOT.
Bella Hadid
Bella looks gorg in this cut-out sparkly dress and I wouldn't expect anything less from the model. Verdict: HOT.

Word of the Week | INEFFABLE
Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone's having a good start to their half-term if you're at school/college etc. Welcome back to Word of the Week - the best and only way to start your afternoon.
INEFFABLE
Definition: too great or extreme to be expressed or described in words
This week's word isn't really that complex or obscure but it's one that holds a special place in my soul. In language we seek to express our thoughts/feelings/experiences with the aim of connecting with other human beings - whether that be to inspire, to humour, to educate - and words are the medium through which that connection is often made. We can never know exactly how somebody else is feeling, but through words we can hope to understand. The English language is constantly evolving but there are still many 'things' which it is incapable of expressing through just twenty-six letters. And that's a beautiful thing. Maybe the best things in life are those that transcend human comprehension and hence language. Sometimes no amount of words will do a subject justice.

Step into style with my Topshop shoe picks
As I spoke about on Twitter earlier this week, Topshop's shoe game is amazing right now and their latest pieces are giving me major style envy. I seem to have a penchant for 'ugly' footwear and am obsessed with holographic materials, patent PVC and basically anything that looks unique. With that being said, I genuinely do love all these styles I picked and thought it would make a great post to give you guys some shoe-spiration this season!
Top: boots | sliders | bootsMiddle: loafers | platforms | lace ups
Bottom: sandals | trainers | wedges
As you can see from the shoes I picked out, I definitely tend to stick to monochromatic looks but I like to think I picked pairs that will still give that bit of extra edge to an outfit. I already have too many shoes that I never wear, but it was so fun just browsing through Topshop's range and lusting over all its beauty.
I can't wait for the upcoming Topshop Unique AW16 show at London Fashion Week!
Which of my shoe picks is your favourite?

Word of the Week | PRAXIS
Welcome back to Word of the Week - the highlight of everyone's Monday. Don't lie, guys. I know you love it.
PRAXIS
Definition: the integration of belief with behaviour
I know what most of you are probably thinking - "But everyone integrates their belief with their behaviour, don't they?" - and the answer is no, they don't. I always say that "To know and not to do is not to know" and my philosophy still stands true today. Many people have desires and wants yet they never manifest them because they refuse to change their habits and behaviour. Each and every person has a teachability index, which works on a scale from 0-10, and is based upon two factors - your willingness to learn and your willingness to accept change. You can have all the belief in the world but it's worthless if your actions are contradicting your desires. Pay close attention to the way you live your life and ask yourself, "Does my behaviour match the frequency of my desires?" The application of praxis is all about living the life you love. If you are not vibrationally aligned with your belief, then you can never expect to attract it.

The Purrfect Purse
I love puns. But nowhere near as much as I love my new feline themed purse! Fashion focused around cats is a big love of mine - I even have some cute print pyjamas - and for some reason it makes me feel like I'm channelling my inner Taylor Swift, which I'm definitely not going to complain about.
This post is going to be really quick because there's basically no point to it besides the fact I wanted to show you my adorable purse. Who really cares if it's too big to fit in your bag when it looks this cute? Priorities, guys, c'mon. Practicality is so last season. I actually got this purse for Christmas because I had my eye on it in New Look, however, it's currently out of stock if you did fancy getting one for yourself. Sad times.

Word of the Week | ORENDA
Hello February! I can't believe this is already my fourth Word of the Week post. I'm really enjoying writing these posts for you guys and I hope you're enjoying reading them and learning new words!
ORENDADefinition: a force present in all people that empowers them to affect the world or to effect change in their lives
This is an interesting one! While the definition is very true and relevant to every single human, really, this word is just a subtle and tiny insight into the power of the Law of Attraction - which I have lots of posts about, including my recent one on the power of a vision board! However, I guess it's still a cool word. You come from realms of unimaginable power and light, and you will return to those realms. You are the creator of your own life and are completely in control over what happens to you. I truly believe that.

Thank You January
Thank you January for all that you gave us and thank you February for all that will come! Gratitude is the open door to abundance and it's a force far more powerful than any action you could take. I've been keeping a gratitude journal for 3 years now, so I'd thought I'd reflect on a few of the things I thanked the Universe for this past month.
Images from my InstagramFree cinema tickets from Citroen
These arrived a couple days into the new year and I'd totally forgotten I'd applied to win them before Christmas! It was a lovely surprise and now I just need to hurry up and decide what film to go see.
Began writing for Maximum Pop
Just before Christmas I applied to be a Style Intern for maximumpop.co.uk and now I'm happy to say I'm part of the team! Everyone's so great and passionate about the site and I'm really enjoying writing for them, especially since it combines my love of celebrities with my interest in fashion. You can see some of the articles I've written here.
UK Senior Mathematics Challenge
I've done the maths challenge every year since 2009 and I've always done well but not as great as I did this year! As you can see from my Instagram, I came away with not only a silver certificate but also 'best in year' and 'best in school' - seriously geeky, I know.
Finding new songs which you love
I've never really listened to One Direction much before but I am completely obsessed with Zayn's new song and music video 'PILLOWTALK'. I've listened to it way too many times for it to be healthy.
What are you thankful for in January?

Word of the Week | PETRICHOR
It's that time again... the notion of a new Word of the Week always brightens up my Monday. I can only hope it has the same effect on you guys! This week's word is pretty apt considering British weather recently...
PETRICHORDefinition: the scent of rain on dry earth
You know the really nice smell after rain that everybody seems to love but can never explain why? Well, there's a word for it. It sounds like the term is almost made-up upon first glance but it's pretty simple when you dissect it - a blend of 'petri' meaning 'relating to rocks' and the word 'ichor', often used in Greek mythology to mean the ethereal blood that runs through the veins of gods, but basically 'fluid'. You learn something new everyday, right?

The Power of A Vision Board
I think the concept of a vision board has become very misconstrued recently, with most people now viewing it as merely a collage of pretty pictures which makes for an aesthetic Instagram post. However, the true purpose of a vision board is far from this; the power of visualisation is one that is beyond human comprehension. The good part is that you don't need to understand how it works in order to benefit from it, you just need to understand the importance of your thoughts and how you can use them to have ANYTHING you want in the universe.
WHAT IS A VISION BOARD?
A vision board is basically a collation of images which represent the 'things' you want to attract into your life. Whether it be material things like a new car, house, possession etc or something more abstract like happiness, a relationship or a certain feeling - it works for any desire that you have. The idea is to look at it often and view those things as already being yours. Not just thinking it, but believing it and FEELING it on every level. The Universe is a catalogue and you are simply making your order. Sit back and enjoy the unfolding.
WHY DOES IT WORK?
Like I said before, you don't have to understand how or why a vision board works in order to benefit from it. But it helps to have unwavering faith in what you're doing because you know it's not philosophy, but rather physics. Everything in the Universe is made up of energy and all those things are vibrating at a certain frequency - including your thoughts. Think of yourself as a transmission tower broadcasting frequencies of thoughts into the Universe and literally creating your reality in front of you. Everything you can imagine is real because thoughts become things. That's all there is to it. Scientists did a study on athletes where they got them to run a race in their mind only and they found that the muscles fired in the exact same sequence as it would if they were actually running. This is because the Universe doesn't know the difference between things that are happening in your imagination or in reality. If you can see it in your mind, you can have it in your hand!
A STORY
There was a man who had been told the art of visualisation before, but didn't really believe in it that much. One day, while he was clearing his attic, he found a box containing his old vision boards from years ago. As he was looking through them, he saw a photo of a house which he'd put on there as he'd wanted to manifest into his life and immediately started crying. He realised that he was actually living in that very house today. Not a similar one, the EXACT one. He was shocked. He'd attracted his dream house into his life and was living in it without even realising! That was the day he truly began to understand the power of visualisation.
TIPS FOR CREATING A VISION BOARD
Be specific. Play out the event of having what you want in your mind. If you want a new car, look at the back of your hands. Truly look at them and study the lines and veins. Now imagine those exact hands wrapping themselves around your brand new steering wheel. Feel how amazing it is to finally have what you've always wanted. It should feel so good that you don't even need the car any more because it feels like you already have it!
That's the power of visualisation. And I'll let you into a secret - no dream or goal or desire is too big. It's just as easy to manifest a cup of coffee as it is to manifest a million pounds. It is only your belief that one is more difficult to attract than the other that prolongs your absence of it. Happy Visualising! X
What are you putting on your vision board?

My Favourite Quotes from Macbeth
Macbeth is pretty much my favourite play ever. I love Shakespeare in general but there's something so special about Macbeth, that I just can't pinpoint, which sets it apart from other tragedies. I recently watched the new film version and I have to say it was my favourite yet (I've seen the Polanski and Gould ones plus Verdi's opera) although it did annoy me a little how they omitted some really great quotes and scenes. But anyway, we're also studying Macbeth in A Level English literature and the exam is closed text so me sharing my favourite quotes with you is basically revision for me too. It's a win-win situation, right?
"Stars, hide your fires; let not light see my black and deep desires."
"What's done is done."
"There's no art
To find the mind's construction in the face"
"It will have blood, they say. Blood will have blood."
"Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood
Clean from my hand? No, this my hand will rather
The multitudinous seas incarnadine,
Making the green one red."
"My hands are of your colour, but I shame
To wear a heart so white."
"It will be rain tonight."
"Let it come down."

Word of the Week | APRICITY
Welcome to Word of the Week! I hope you guys enjoyed reading last week's post as much as I loved writing it. As a writer and (self-proclaimed) wordsmith, I'm absolutely fascinated by obscure and felicitous words; it's so much fun discovering them, exploring their derivations and, most importantly, getting to share them with all of you.
APRICITYDefinition: the warmth of the sun in winter
This week's word comes from the Latin meaning "to bask in the sun" and, I must say, it is a beautiful one. Apricity has long been one of my favourite words because it describes something so simple and yet incredibly sublime. My poetical brain can see such potential for an amazing extended metaphor that it could be used for!

OOTD | Camel Roll Neck
It's been a while since I've posted an OOTD but I swear it seems like every time I plan to shoot it suddenly pours with rain the entire day. This week I decided I would get out there, regardless of the weather, to photograph my first outfit of 2016 and basically ended up freezing my ass off in the process. Oh, the stuff I do for the sake of art...
I'm not usually a fan of roll neck tops but it seems to be a huge trend right now so I thought I'd give it a go. I think I'm definitely more of a fan of loose clothing but I'm still undecided on whether I can pull it off or not. I will say that I love the neutral colour palette with the gorgeous camel shade complementing my amaziiiiinngg new boots. You know when you love a pair of shoes so much that you don't want to wear them out? My life right now.
PS. Can I just say I'm really loving this 'Plum Sensation' lip colour right now by Collection... I applied it in the afternoon and it was still perfect by the time I went to bed at around midnight. *mini fist pump*

Word of the Week | PRONOIA
Welcome to a sparkly new series on Lunar Look! I am madly in love with words (perhaps even more so than I am with numbers!) and I've spent a great portion of my life discovering, analysing and obsessing over vocabulary - all while being in awe at the subtlety of the English language. I have sat for hours contemplating the seemly insignificant difference between the words 'eternal' and 'immortal'; while many simply see these as synonyms, I firmly believe that no two words can be identical in meaning and effect. Every string of 26 characters is unique.
As language evolves, I constantly find myself discovering new words and phrases to describe incredible feelings, beliefs and occurrences that many didn't know even existed. That is why I decided to start this new 'Word of the Week' series. Each week, probably on a Monday, I will pick an obscure or interesting word to create a post around. It might be meaningful, it might be strange or it might simply just be beautiful. Either way, I can only hope it inspires you to see the magic, beauty and power of words. (Or at least just helps to improve the world's vocabulary!)
PRONOIA
Definition: the belief that the universe is conspiring in your favour
We've all heard of paranoia, but not many are aware of its wonderful antonym. I picked it because I've been living in a state of pronoia for the past few years of my life and I didn't even know there was a word for it until last year! The Universe always knows best even if you think you know better. I choose to have faith that everything is coming together and unfolding perfectly, rather than fearing that it isn't. How blessed we are. How wonderful life is. To know there are forces out there happening right now that you don't even know about. The Universe is always on your side.

New Year, New Boots
You know the moment when you're standing in front of a wardrobe full of shoes and yet still have absolutely nothing to wear? That was today's situation. A few of my shoes either haven't been worn in ages or are falling apart so I managed to finally get rid of five pairs (and almost broke my heart in the process cause they're not just footwear, they're friends, right?) Now obviously it would be wrong not to replace them with some shiny new ones...
Boots are my go-to autumn/winter staple. I love wearing sandals for spring/summer but, despite it being a warm Christmas, I don't think it's quite that hot yet! It didn't take me long to find a pair I loved in the New Look January sale - so much so that I couldn't decide between the two and had to buy both.
New Look Tan Embossed Lace Up Boots (similar)
I adore tan coloured footwear. Not as much as I love black but, still, it's pretty high up there on the list. This pair reminds me of brogues but have that extra bit of flair with my favourite chunky block heel. They're super comfy, perfect for everyday wear and were a bargain at £14 reduced from £27.99!
I never used to go for pointed footwear as I always thought they looked uncomfortable but recently I have been loving it so much! I don't have narrow feet but even I would say these are actually more comfy than the other pair which are wide-fit. The zip front is definitely what makes this shoe and I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of these in future outfit posts because I'm already planning to wear them 24/7. Again, these were on sale at £16.79 reduced from £27.99!
Have you bought anything nice in the January sales yet?

Why I Don't Make New Year's Resolutions
2016 is on the horizon and everyone has something that they want to accomplish. Whether it be to lose weight, to get a better job or maybe even to become a happier person in general - this is the time of the year people start talking about their goals. I, however, will not be making a resolution for the New Year. Here’s why.
The perfect moment to start is now
Don’t get me wrong, I have plans and aspirations too. My problem with New Year's resolutions isn’t the fact that people are trying to improve themselves, it’s the notion that somehow the beginning of a new year is required to spur action. “New year, new me!”, so the saying goes. But the way I look at it is why not, “New day, new me!” or even “New second, new me!”? As human beings we are all constantly expanding, changing and evolving in ways you can’t even imagine. It is never too late to be brand new. If I want something, I don’t need to wait until the New Year to have it. I’m gonna go out and get it now.
Procrastination
Successful people understand that life isn’t just happening to them, it’s responding to them. They don’t sit around waiting for opportunities to arise, they knock and the door is opened. Most people think they are ‘knocking’ by making New Year’s resolutions, but really I think they are just the perfect excuse for procrastination to breed. When it’s halfway through January and you haven’t completed your goal yet - “oh well, there’s always next year.” There is a reason why the majority of New Year's resolutions are given up on within the first three months. If you really want to achieve something, you need to erase the mindset that it needs to be start of a year for you to be inspired. Set your mind on something and stick with it. Know that it’s yours no matter how many obstacles you face along the way because you are a runner and you always finish the race.
The action isn’t actually that important
Most new years resolutions focus purely on action. “I want to lose three stone” “I want to read 50 books” “I want to earn £50k” or in other words, “I will complete a series of tasks and only then will I be happy.” The problem with this is that what most people don’t know is the 'doing’ part of achieving a desire is actually significantly smaller than the 'thinking’ part. The most important thing when it comes to accomplishing goals is your mindset and the way that you feel. Only then will you experience what we call 'inspired action’. Make feeling joy your priority instead of an end result and watch the magic that happens.
Forced isn't fun
Most people set New Year's resolutions just because they feel they have to. They’re under pressure and often set goals they aren’t committed to achieving and therefore don’t have the drive and emotional energy behind it. You simply cannot attract something to you if you are feeling bad about it. Desires should feel good. Amazing, even. It’s supposed to be fun! This is why it’s rare to see someone who constantly complains about being on a diet actually lose weight. They’re too busy being negative and feeling bad to bring about any positive result. Whatever you choose as your goal, the number one rule is to feel good.
Thank you 2015 for all that you gave us and thank you 2016 for all that will come!
