Films & Books Completed | January

Firstly, Happy February Eve! I have no idea whether that is even a real 'thing', but if not, it definitely should be. Reading is one of my biggest passions and since I constantly have my nose in a book, I thought it'd be interesting to share a few of the titles I've completed this month! I'm not really keen on influencing others with my opinion, as literature is such a subjective thing that I'd always suggest anyone to read something for themselves in order to form their own view, so I'm going to try and keep it as short and sweet as possible, with hopefully no spoilers! I've also watched a couple of interesting films this January so I thought I'd throw them into the mix too and I'm actually going to talk about them first (because we're clearly leaving the best 'til last, soz.)

GratiTuesday #4

Aaaand your favourite day of the week is here! This will be the last GratiTuesday post of January, which is pretty exciting as it means that we've already found an entire month of lovely things to be grateful for! The best part about it is that over time it'll just get easier and easier to practise positivity and in the end you'll reach a point where giving thanks to the Universe just becomes a healthy habit. But although the future may be bright, the truth is that the present is EVEN better - so without further ado, here are just a few of the things I'm thankful for right now:

Fresh and crisp sunny days
I love admiring the beauty of nature and I've been wanting to include some more original images in these weekly posts for a while, which is where the above photo comes in! I took it whilst walking home on a peaceful Friday afternoon and I feel like it really encapsulates one of my favourite words - 'apricity' - which means the warmth of the sun in winter. It's important to take time out to appreciate your surroundings and be conscious of the paths you're taking in life (both literally and metaphorically!) Also, how amazing are those New Look trousers?! Sooo comfy.

Hot Hair Sassy Ponytail Review

This is one review that I've been looking forward to posting for a looooong while. This is my first time experimenting with any kind of hair piece/extension and I was certainly not disappointed with the result! Hot Hair are a UK brand that have been creating hair extensions, pieces and wigs for over 15 years and have a vast array of styles, colours and lengths in both human and synthetic hair. So whether you're looking for something serious to cover up hair loss or simply want effortlessly glam hair in a flash, you're guaranteed to find something that suits:

GratiTuesday #3

Has Tuesday rolled around already? I guess time really does fly when you're having fun... no but seriously, you'll be amazed to find out how dramatically your perception of life changes when you start to notice and feel appreciative of all the positive things around you (which is essentially the reason for this weekly series!) In case you missed last week's post, you can catch up here and keep reading to see what I've been grateful for these past seven days:

Fifty Shades Of Green

Pantone may have recently named Marsala as 'The Colour of 2015', but I for one beg to differ. Sorry to disenchant all you Christian Grey fans out there, but despite the misleading title, this post has absolutely nothing to do with a Fifty Shades spin-off. Now that's cleared up, here's why the colour green deserves a place in every girl's wardrobe:
Detachable Faux Fur Trim Coat - Miss Selfridge
Leather Snakeskin Textured Panel Satchel - New Look
Textured Lace Hem Pelmet Skirt - Topshop
Anthea Cut Out Split Maxi Dress Emerald - Missguided
Sidonia Lime Collared Shift Dress - Missguided
Elida Maxi Dress - Topshop

GratiTuesday #2

It's that day of the week again... if you missed last week's post or simply want to catch up on what 'Gratituesday' means exactly, you can click here and become enlightened! (Just kidding... kinda) Hint: it's a portmanteau of 'Gratitude' and 'Tuesday'. Pretty self-explanatory and since time is of the essence, let's get a move on and look back at all the lovely things I have to be thankful for this past week:

GratiTuesday #1

thank you gold writing
Get excited because I'm about to announce a new weekly segment here on Lunar Look.... Gratituesday! Inspired by The Wonderlanders, each Tuesday I'll be posting a weekly roundup of the little (and big) things that have made me feel good/positive/grateful etc each day. Over the past 2 years, I've made a conscious habit out of giving thanks to the Universe before I go to sleep each night, so although this is the first time I've documented it on my blog, it isn't actually that new to my life. This will basically just be a nice place where we can all spread positive vibes and express gratitude for everything that we've attracted into our lives, since gratitude will ALWAYS be the open door to abundance. Sound good to you? Let's get started...

What I Got For Christmas 2014

I apologise for this post’s lack of punctuality, but since we haven’t reached Twelfth Night just yet, I figured the festive spirit should be here to stay for a little longer. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, it’s the season of ultimate gratitude and I can’t wait to show you all some of the lovely things I was privileged to receive over the holiday. Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see reviewed or talked about more in a future post!

Words Of Wisdom To Live By In 2015

First and foremost, welcome to the new year! The earth has completed yet another orbit around the sun so that 365 blank pages now lay ahead of us just waiting to be filled with good thoughts, new experiences and exciting adventures. What better way to kick off 2015 than with some inspiring quotes to get those creative juices flowing? I think it's important for me to note that these aren't just pretty pictures with calligraphic platitudes slapped on them - they genuinely are life-changing gems of wisdom that I believe have the power to improve all aspects of your well-being when understood and applied correctly. Master the art of living your life by these simple yet profound teachings and all there's left to do is wait as positive change begins to manifest right before your eyes:
